Really lovely everytime I go back to South Australia I always have to get a pastrie and a kitchener bun yummy.
My partner and I passed through from the Riverland to Adelaide. Initially welcomed by 2 young ladies that, although pleasant enough, gave the impression really did not want to be there. After paying for my lunch felt unsure as to what I paid for - more on that later.After stating I would like to 'dine-in' was not seated anywhere nor told to sit anywhere, so stood there waiting. I was then advised my lunch and coffee were at the counter for me to get... I grabbed them and then proceeded to awkwardly try opening the door to outer area myself without spilling my coffee. I couldn't get door open so waited for my partner to wait for her meal and then open the door for me. We sat down, the food was fine, we finished, I got up and left. Once out we were told we hadn't paid for part of our meal, which I then paid for.This almost all boils down to communication from those that served me. What I had expected to be a standard lunch affair was something I felt was a little uncomfortable. Hence, 2 star review.

Bought a vanilla slice here. Now I 've eaten too many vanilla slices in my time. What's going on with these?. A very hard base and top like a malt biscuit !, difficult to eat as it just clamps down and the filling just oozes out the side. Pass on these ones and suggest the staff travel to Ballarat vic and try a v s from the golden nugget bakery - delightful.
Great country service with a good selection of different pies and cakes. The do a pretty mean salad roll too. No eftpos is abit different in this day and age though
